For better or worse, I've decided to run a marathon. I've missed the deadline for London & Brighton 2012 (my first two preferences), so by default the New York City Marathon 2012 it shall be.
I have 1 year & 2 months to go, plenty of time. But to be honest, I'm an entry level runner (at best). I've been running 2-4 times a week for 30 minutes max for the last month; I'm slow and easily exhausted, more of a jogger than a runner.
Recently, I had to take two weeks off after over-doing it and hurting my ankle (over doing it for me means running for 45 minutes!) so I feel like I've taken a few steps back, but hopefully my body will get used to it.
