I was worried to begin with that I'd have to eventually strip out all the good stuff from my diet, but it turns out that running food is good food.
I'm eating a lot of peanut butter, I used to hate it but since I've been training I've really started to appreciate how good it is for me and i've grown a taste for it too.
A favourite of runners as it's packed with protein, carbohydrates, fibre, and unsaturated fat. It gives you tonnes of energy too! Personally I go for this natural brand: Peanut.
But apparently, where running is concerned, they all do the trick.
Chocolate milk. Some studies suggest it's as good (or better) than 'sports' drinks as it has an excellent composition of carbs & proteins. But way more important than that, it tastes great.
Those are my two main diet additions, there's a whole bunch of other stuff that's good for runners; eggs, salmon, sweet potato....etc.
It's a pretty good diet (in terms of variety and flavour) so I'm just including it along with my usual foods.
